David Peinsipp, an accomplished law firm partner, specializes in tech and corporate law. He represents investment banks, venture capitalists, and financial institutions in a variety of equity, debt, and equity-linked transactions including: public offerings, private placements, PIPES and mergers.

David’s educational background begins with a Bachelor’s of science in Psychology from the University of Florida. The college sits on a 2,000-acre campus with a current enrollment of approximately 49,000 students. The University of Florida is also one sixty-two elected member institutions of the Association of American Universities, preeminent with North American research universities.

After graduating in 1998, David enrolled in law school at New York University School of Law. Established in 1835, NYU Law School is the oldest school of law in the city. The school’s student quality ranking peaks at number 4 out of 144 accredited universities in the United States. In 2001, David earned his JD.

From New York University, David went on to earn his Bar in California state. He is a proud member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Bar Association of San Francisco.

David Peinsipp currently works at the Cooley LLP firm, an international firm based in the United States, the United Kingdom, and China. Cooley LLP’s specialties include technology, life sciences, real estate, financial services, retail and energy. After 15 years of hard work and dedication, David has risen to the ranks of partner within an organization with 850 lawyers, and has served in this capacity for the past 4 years . In 2014, David was listed in the Daily Journal’s “20 Under 40 list”, which honors the top young professionals in California.

In his day-to-day, David works almost exclusively with technology companies or banks on acquiring financing opportunities, transitioning companies into a publicly traded space, and giving them advice on how to succeed. He’s been featured in a vast number of articles over the years and accredits most of his success to pure grit. Since 2011, David has been involved in over 50 IPOs and debt equity offerings.

In his spare time, David enjoys traveling to all corners of the globe, taking pictures of beautiful places, and meeting new people.
